(CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION)The purpose of this educational lecture is to discuss current trends in Adolescent and Young Adult drug use. The contents of your medicine cabinet may seem harmless, but have the potential to be dangerous, addictive, and even deadly. The presentation will delve into the dangers of “Pharming” and the most commonly used drugs in this new Adolescent and Young Adult craze. We will discuss valuable statistics covering the amount of use and the dangerous consequences corresponding to “Pharming”.
At the close of this presentation, participants will understand warning signs of Adolescent and Young Adult Drug Abuse and Steps you, as a medical professional, can take to help.
The Workshop is a collaborative with Phoenix House.
The Presenter is Duane Sorrell, Chemical Dependency Counselor for 18 years. He now holds the position of Clinical Assessment Specialist for the Phoenix Houses of Texas adolescent substance abuse treatment facilities.
