Life Skills Training Program

"This story is for the people who teach Life Steps in the schools around Georgetown. Just to let you know the program works and it does have an impact on young kids.
My son has an older friend that he plays with after school. They mostley go to the boys & girls club and that is great because I know he is safe there. Life Steps was teaching peir pressure for the week at this time and my son and I were talking and I ask him if he was going to the club & he said no and I ask if he was going to his friends and he said to me - No Dad. I can’t hang around him any more. I ask why not and he said the he smokes pot! I was very proud of my son for telling me and letting me know that he understands drugs are bad and that he will stand up for what is right….even if you might loose a friend. I’m proud of my son and proud of you program Life Steps. Believe me it works. Thank you so much. God Bless."
