TRANSPARENTING

Divorce is recognized as a very stressful experience. This 4-hour research-based curriculum focuses on the needs of children and how adults can help them cope. Counselors discuss different stages children go through as a result of divorce. Parents, concerned caregivers and grandparents are welcome to attend. Seminars are conducted by two licensed counselors from LifeSteps. After attending, participants will receive a certificate of completion. Topics include: establishing a co-parenting relationship, emotional reactions, guidelines for helping children adjust, new family structures and developmental stages.

Classes are held on the 1st Saturday of each month in the Round Rock office from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Please pre-register for the seminar by coming in or mailing the completed form with a payment of $40.00 (money order only). The seminar is conducted in the LifeSteps conference room at 2111 N. Mays in Round Rock. Click here for a map.

Some points to remember are: No childcare provided. All sessions begin on time and credit will not be given for late arrivals. NO REFUNDS will be given and schedules may change due to holidays.

SUPERVISED FAMILY VISITATION

This program provides a safe, structured environment for individuals needing supervision with their children. Knowledgeable, experienced and understanding staff, guide families through the process to alleviate any concerns they may have regarding visits. Court orders are recommended but not required to participate in this program. Visits occur on the very first, third and if there is a fifth Saturday of each month. Both parties are required to pay a $55 money order to attend an orientation session before visits begin. Fees for visits are sliding scale. NEUTRAL EXCHANGE

LifeSteps provides a convenient location right off of Hwy 79 and IH 35 in Round Rock. Exchange times follow most court orders and if not, the agency is willing to try to accommodate a client.
