Alcohol & Drug Assessments

Chemical Dependency Assessments include a structured interview and the use of appropriate assessment tools in order to determine an individuals dependency on alcohol and/or other drugs. Recommendation for treatment, education and/or support groups is based upon the results of the confidential assessment.

This is a 45 to 60 minute interview with an LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor).  The counselor will make recommendations based on the result of screening tools and information provided by the client (and collateral sources, if necessary) determining whether or not the client has a substance abuse problem, and would benefit from treatment or education, etc.  An assessment recommendation letter is then provided to the client’s referral source (attorney/probation officer/etc) within a few days of the appointment.
