				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>LifeSteps provides family programs to strengthen the family bond. Children are healthier when their families are strong and when they live in communities that connect them to networks of support. We strengthening families with  programs designed to build protective factors in young adolescents and their parents. We provide TransParenting &#8211; a nationally recognized program designed to help parents become more aware of the effects of divorce on children. We offer professional on-site supervised visitation that maintains the safety of the child and provides a nurturing atmosphere that promotes positive interaction and the building/rebuilding of family relationship. We use our programs to JumpStart a healthy environment to engage family interaction and development.</p>

<p>The student and their family are referred to NCC by the local school district. The family meets with a panel of volunteers to establish the root of the truancy problem. Together the student, family, and the NCC panel develop a positive action plan.</p>
